Door replacement project at City of Lincoln Council

Lincoln Security worked round the clock to ensure minimum disruption to employees for a recent job with the City of Lincoln Council.

The security specialists won a contract to replace a number of fire doors that were not up to specification at the council’s main office in Lincoln.

“We have worked with the council for the last 25 years providing them with various security systems including maintenance for existing doors, key cutting services, as well as access control and master key suites, said Jason Healyfrom Lincoln Security.

“The project involved us installing 50 new timber fire doors, 10 of which were operated by an access control system from the main staircase on each floor in the building to access the office areas.

“The job was quite complex, as it involved fitting the new doors to the existing frames, installing new door releases and linking them up to the existing access control system. Our engineers worked through the night to ensure we didn’t disturb council employees during their working hours,” added Jason.

Joe Timmins, Property Services Manager for the council said: “We were very pleased with the work that Lincoln Security carried out for us, they managed to turn the job around very quickly with minimum disruption to our staff.”
