Secure Storage Removes The Load From High-Rise Cyclists
Lincoln-based security specialists have helped cyclists living in some of London's high-rise flats enjoy an easier life by installing secure storage systems.
Lincoln Security and Grimsby firm LIS Products Ltd have worked together to install Lockit Safe cycle compounds fitted with specialist locking systems, making it easier for residents who no longer need to haul their bikes into their flats for safe keeping.
The secure storage, funded by the London Borough of Islington, means that residents can now safely park and store their bikes at ground level, protecting them from theft and damage, as well as the weather.
Lincoln Security's Jason Healy explained that, over the past year, nine estates in Islington have benefitted from the highly secure compounds, which feature sliding gates and heavy-duty locks.
"The installation of these cycle compounds has greatly improved day-to-day life for cyclists on the estates, who can now relax knowing that robust, reliable locking systems are protecting their property.
"Our engineers worked closely with the LIS Products team to speedily install and secure each lockable cycle compound, fitted with a sliding gate for extra security and with polycarbonate-clad roof, back and sides as standard.
"Lincoln Security engineers supplied and installed all the locks, including heavy-duty locks used to secure the sliding gates. We also supplied each cycle owner with a proximity key fob that makes access quick and easy."
Craig Sime, Production & Contracts Manager for Lockit Safe Ltd said: “We engaged Lincoln Security from the very start of our tendering process. They understood both our clients and our requirements from the start.
“It was imperative that we were able to offer our client a secure cycle compound with the added security and safety of automatic lighting. The system that was specified and subsequently installed ticked all these boxes.
It was a pleasure working with the team at Lincoln Security and look forward to working on further projects together in the near future.”
