Jason Healy to run London Marathon 2012 for Charity
Jason Healy, Lincoln Security’s Architectural Ironmonger is preparing to run the London Marathon 2012 for the Lincolnshire charity LIVES on 22nd April.
Jason wanted to run for a local charity and as his mother in law has had LIVES out to her twice, Jason approached LIVES and asked if he could be their very first London Marathon runner.
LIVES (Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service) provide a rapid response to 999 medical emergencies, particularly in rural areas. LIVES Volunteer Responders are trained to deliver early basic life support, early defibrillation, patient assessment, oxygen therapy and general patient care.
LIVES Responders are located within communities for a better chance of reaching a patient quickly, last year the average Responder response time was less than 5 minutes.
Jason started running on a regular basis 3 years ago, starting with a couple of 10km races before running a half marathon in 2010.
Jason said “I’m looking forward to working alongside LIVES in the coming months and raising as much money as possible for them, they are a charity that needs as many people as possible to help them and I hope that running for them in the London marathon can contribute to that. My target time for running the marathon is to try and break 4 hours...”
