Manufacturing Technician

Are you technically minded with a creative eye for detail but also have some aspirations to run your own department one day?

We are offering a firm foundation for the right candidate who would like to be a Master Key/Bench Locksmith Technician but who also can be trained to support our Master Key department Manager and the potential to run the department when the manager is on annual leave.

If you are enthusiastic, skilled, experienced, motivated, dependable and organised then we are looking for you to join our dynamic team of experts within the Master key Department.

A working week would consist of:

  • Pinning up cylinders, locks and padlocks as part of the Master key systems, often in large quantities,

  • Cutting various high security keys from copy or code.

  • Assemble, service and repair existing locks.

  • Record details of registered keys and products on our system database.

  • Understand stock control and management.

  • Processing Sales Orders instructions.

  • Technologically competent.

  • Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.

Personal Specification:

  • We require you to be well presented, punctual, honest, accountable and diligent.

  • The ability to work on repetitive tasks with great attention to detail.

  • Able to communicate with confidence and a strong ability to multi-task.

  • Take great pride in exceptional workmanship, be enthusiastic and energetic in your approach.

  • Ability to demonstrate experience in a reactive environment, often working with tight deadlines.

  • Approachable with a friendly engaging manner.

  • Respectful and look after the people you support and work with.

  • A good sense of humour – believe it or not!

  • A right-minded work ethic to have the confidence to eventually become self-reliant.

  • Attend site specific training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.

  • To attend external and in-house training courses.

  • Ensure conformance to all Company Policies and Procedures, Health and Safety requirements and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards.

  • Any other such reasonable duties.
