Jordan is coming to the end of his AAT studies and will soon be a fully fledged accountant. Starting off as a Saturday boy in the shop, helping to cut keys, Jordan has since progressed to his current position of Accounts Assistant.
“Every day at Lincoln Security is different, so I’m always kept on my toes. Not only do I enjoy the work, but I also enjoy working in the company of my colleagues, we have a great group of hard working staff here at LS which really reflects in our success throughout the years. It’s also great to work alongside some of my family members, this means I am always pushed to do my best and be my best possible self.”
Linda is Lincoln Security’s Finance Manager and heads up the accounts department, being in the role for over 15 years and fully MAAT Qualified!
“No two days are the same. During my 15 years with the Company I have watched it grow from strength to strength more than doubling in employee numbers and customers. In my spare time love to help look after the grandchildren.”
A typical week in the Master keying department for Lindsey and her team consists of creating and designing master keyed suites for customers such as National Grid or Anglian Water, include high security key cutting, arranging deliveries from our suppliers (ASSA/ABLOY) and Utility companies who require bulk products. Her team average each month between 2000-3000 units across the board;
“Working alongside my direct family has got to be one of the best decisions I chose on my career path. I always push myself to accomplish more & I have been on managers courses to get me there. I love to get stuck in and involved where it needs. My aim is to follow in my fathers (Aiden) footsteps & carry the business forward, making him even more proud of the person I have become.”
Nick specialises in mechanical and electromechanical locking solutions and is the company’s expert when it comes to security rated door sets. In 2019, Nick successfully completed the NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety Recognition course.
“From starting as a trainee lock fitter on a large water utility contract I have swapped the van seat for the office chair, you might say im a Poacher turned gamekeeper but i still love to get hands on when an extra pair of hands are needed. In my spare time i enjoy running around after 6-year-old son Rory and 3-year-old daughter Alice and currently hold the title of Lincoln Security’s Lance Armstrong cycling 6 miles daily to work.”
Dave started out his fledgling career at a rival locksmith, spending three years there working as a bench locksmith and serving trade and domestic customers before joining Lincoln Security as an account manager in 2007. Specialising in high security locking solutions for Critical Nation Infrastructure customers, what Dave doesn’t know about locks isn’t worth knowing.
“It doesn’t seem five minutes since I arrived at Lincoln Security all the way back in 2007 – bright eyed, bushy tailed and eager to make a mark. From fixing locks and cutting keys to managing a plethora of requirements from all of our Utility customers has been a very interesting and rewarding journey . Working here whilst being surrounded by a wealth of knowledge, has helped me develop exponentially. Also as my position has evolved over the years I occasionally don my hi-viz cape and carry out site surveys up and down the country as well.”
After 20 years in IT development and an unexpected redundancy it was time to learn something completely new. Starting his career at Lincoln Security in 2009 as a bench assembler, Dave soon got the opportunity use his IT experience to resurrect the engraving equipment, working alone from the ‘satellite office’ at Langworth. After serving 5 years in isolation his term was commuted, and was amongst the first to relocate to the newly-acquired, empty premises on Whisby Way.
“Starting with a blank sheet we designed an Engraving Department so that all our equipment was located in a single area of the building, and the team steadily grew to be what it is today. From initially only engraving and building bespoke key cabinets my team have progressed to now include site surveying, supplying all manner of locking solutions through to installation, effectively becoming a one-stop shop for the electricity transmission sector’s “security from system” needs.”
With over 33 years experience in the manufacturing industry, Jo is now entering into her 15th year of service at Lincoln Security, working alongside Lindsey in the Master Key Department.
“Our Lincoln security family helped me to diversify my life skills within the locksmiths world completing the maintenance and technical construction which include problem solving and production of our wide spectrum of keys, padlocks and cylinders on a daily basis , which has contributed to my new in house title of Master key technician.”
Rhyn is one of the first people that will greet you upon entering the Trade Counter. Always happy to help with even the more obscure requests Rhyn is skilled in cutting keys to assembling cylinders.
“My favourite part about working here is the friendly working environment and the fact that we are always learning new things every day. I get the change to meet new people when they come in the shop and we have regular customers that visit on a frequent basis”
Martha is one of Lincoln Security’s Office Pooches. She’s a 3 year old Podenco that enjoys going for long walks and lounging round distracting her co workers.
A recent addition to the Office Pets department, Milly joins the team as our Junior Office Pooch. Martha has been educating Milly on the ins and outs of being a good office dog and she’s been picking it up quickly.
I started working for Lincoln Security a year ago and absolutely love my job. It is a very fast and furious role with challenges all the way, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Every day is different, and feel as though I have fitted right in with the team. I cannot believe how quickly my time here has gone, and cannot wait to see what my future at Lincoln Security holds.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my young son, and now my new Grandson.
I’ve been here at Lincoln Security, our Family Company my whole life, coming here as a little girl with my Dad, then with my Brother and Sister who now run the Company. I have overall nearly 15yrs working service, my first stint was 11½yrs, Throughout that time I did various roles, met my husband Jason who also works here then I had then had a career break to have, our now teenage children. I’ve been back for just a little over 3yrs and it feels like I’ve never been away!
I jointly manage the Installation Team of 12 Engineers with my Colleague Emma. It’s an ever changing, very dynamic, extremely fast moving, sometimes quite stressful job of keeping 12 guys full of work, getting them to be where they need to be in time and with the correct kit. I love my job and love the people I work with. We are a great team and even those that aren’t blood related end up being like family.
Facts: I love my dog (The Office Dog Martha), I’m at my happiest in heat and sunshine – mainly in Kefalonia. I love gardening, reading, music, history, planes and F1.
