As an Assistant Engineer you will be pairedwith one of our most experienced Security Door Engineers with years of experience in the industry, and assist with the installation of security doors to commercial environments.

Your role will be:

• To provide support to our Security Door Installer and assist with installations, including manual work, such as lifting and fitting of security doors, window bars and sometimes shutters. Jobs can include fitting of locks, cylinders and door hardware too – Training will be provided for everything you need to know!
• Working away very likely Monday to Friday (expected to be on a regular basis), with Paid Accommodation (no room sharing), and with a staying way allowance. No weekend work or callouts.
• Assisting with quality checks on vehicles, equipment and PPE
• And a variety of other tasks

The non-negotiables

• Driving Licence: You will need a full manual UK driving licence, and be over 21 to be insured on our vehicles.
• Team player: All jobs will be with a small team, so team and communication skills are vital.
• Integrity: Our field requires all staff to have honesty, integrity and professionalism, as you will be working on sensitive and secure infrastructure sites.
• Able to work a manual job: You will be required to help to lift doors and window bars and other heavy equipment within the safety guidelines.
• You must be reliable and have a positive approach

Bonus points

• Van Driving Experience: As this is a must for the role, previous experience would be ideal.
• CSCS Card: Ideal candidates would have this already, but we are willing to put good candidates through the certification.
• Construction Experience: While not vital, this would give you a head-start in this position.

Salary: From £12.50 per hour depending on experience

Location: Site based at Whisby Way, LN6 3LQ, with regular working away

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday plus Overtime and Working Away Allowances

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
