Your Role

As an Engraving Technician, you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and Drawing: Use CADlink software to create schematic Operational / Gas zone circuits based on customer specifications.
  • Machine Operation: Operate the Suregrave 4824i rotary engraving machine to transform designs into physical forms for cabinet assembly.
  • Assembly Work: Assemble single and modular ash cabinets, including lock assemblies.
  • 2D Design: Create designs using Gravostyle software for items such as 35mm key tags.
  • Laser Engraving: Operate the LS900 laser machine to produce 2D products from Gravoply laser material.
  • Product Building: Construct various products, including status boards and tool boards.
  • Engraving: Design and engrave padlock nomenclature using the IS400 machine with Gravostyle.
  • Data Management: Use Excel spreadsheets for efficient data handling.
  • Field Work: Collect and deliver ash cabinets, and eventually attend site surveys to gather customer information and design ideas.

Our Engraving trechnician role is not to be taken lightly. It will require a lot of focus and training for someone to fit this role, working in a small team and self-starting once you have the basics down. Our contracts are of high value, and mistakes can be very costly, but there will always be Quality checks to make sure projects go out as expected.

Key Information

  • Job Title: Engraving Technician
  • Starting Salary: £25,000 (With a lot of room to grow based on training and performance)
  • Location: Whisby Way, LN6 3LQ
  • Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday (No weekends)
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (We would prefer someone very long-term as this role isn’t going away).
  • Holidays: 20 days + Bank Holidays (increasing by one day each year after 2 years’ service, up to 25 days)
